3xR Challenge 2014 Week 9
By my calculations we are 17.31% of the way through this challenge! We still have a way to go, but I for one am enjoying the push this challenge gives me to evolve some new designs. Personally, I'm using it as a test bed for new ideas, reused, repurposed and recycled from of the things I already have in my workshop. On ward team 3xR! Only 82.69 % left to go!

Members' News for the Month of March
When, oh when, is spring coming? The midwest is still in the midst of a polar vortex, but I digress....
I don't have a lot of news to report this month but here we go-
L. Sue Szabo won the juror's award at the national show "Materials Hard and Soft" in Denton, TX. She received a $500 cash award.
Click on 2014 Award Winners on the link to view all the award winners.
Also Sue is exhibiting work at the Lilliputians' March, a national small works art show at Purdue University, March 14-Apr 13, 2014.
L. Sue Szabo has work in the 4th annual online exhibition by Ganoksin, "Changing Hues", an exhibit about the use of color in metalwork. There are several other Etsy Metal artists in the exhibit as well, so check it out on line if you have time.
2Roses is featured in the new Art Jewelry Forum publication: AJF Best Of Interviews.
From the publisher: "AJF is proud to present AJF Best of Interviews. This publication is a selection of 20 interviews that together provides insights into contemporary jewelry's backstage: teachers, makers, curators, collectors, designers, and dealers discuss how they do it, why they do it, and occasionally, with whom they do it.
AJF Best of Interviews includes conversations with Madeleine Albright, Gijs Bakker, Jamie Bennett, Lola Brooks, Helen Drutt, Iris Eichenberg, Clo Fleiss, Warwick Freeman, Matthew Friday & Kerianne Quick, Ursula Ilse-Neuman, Yevgeniya Kaganovitch, Sally Marsland, Myra Mimlitsch-Gray, Helena and Lasse Pahlman, Sienna Patti, Bruce Pepich, Lindsay Pollock, Dorothea Prühl, 2Roses, and Tanel Veenre.
That's the news as we head to press. See you next month!

Welcome to our EtsyMetal monthly Blog Carnival!
Blog Carnival is about a group of our members sharing their experience on a common topic
THIS MONTH'S TOPIC:
Ethnicity!
Tell us about your ethnicity
March is Irish American month, you may not be Irish, so tell us who you are. What are customs you grew up with, foods you eat, how your ethnicity may influence your work.
Read and see what some of our members think. You are welcome to make comments and ask questions! Enjoy.
