Members' News for September

Well, it's been one long hot summer for those of us doing outdoor art shows and I, for one, am happy to see fall arriving soon.  Here's some places that you can see the work of our fantastic Etsy Metal team members in Sept.

Jennifer Lawler of Jen Lawler Designs will be participating in several art shows in September.
Market Day in Des Moines Iowa
The Davenport Beaux Arts Festival in Davenport Iowa
The Beaverdale Days Festival in Des Moines Iowa
The Octagon Arts Festival in Ames Iowa

Danielle Miller has several bits of news this month:
-She will be participating in Indie Craft Parade in Greenville, SC from September 7-9
-She will be participating in the Wedding Festival in Greenville, SC on September 13th
-She will be begin teaching Beginning to Intermediate Silversmithing at Tryon arts and Crafts School. Classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 5pm, or Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 pm. The classes run for 6 weeks, starting September 12, 2012, ending October 17th



Beth Cyr has a new public studio/office space and will be accepting appointments for local couples wishing to have wedding rings made. (or anyone willing to drive to Athens, GA) More to come in the next few weeks as everything is set up and decorated!

Kate Jones has an event in Sept.: Jamaica Plain Open Studios! She has participated since 1995, and nearly every year since. Sept. 22-23. 11am to 6pm.

Jennifer Atkins Lisa, also known as Quench Metalworks, will be showing at the Common Ground Country Fair in Unity, Maine, September 21, 22, and 23.

Amuck design(Andrea Ring) will be at the Plaza Art fair in Kansas City Sept. 21-23

2Roses was recently commissioned to produce several pieces to accompany the nationally touring exhibition "Read My Pins", Jewelry from the collection of Madeline Albright.
2Roses will also be speaking at the Textile Association of Southern California on Sept 29th, 2013.

Finally, I also have a bit of news myself.  L. Sue Szabo was accepted into 2 national juried shows opening this month.
One is "From Our Perspective", a national multi-media show of women's art.  This is in Detroit, MI and runs from Sept 27-Oct 26,2022.
The other is American Craft Today at The Bascom in Highlands, NC.  This runs Sept 22- Dec 29th and is a multi-media show

I wish it had been a long hot summer for those of us in the UK...more like long wet soggy squelch! Good work everyone, beautiful pieces.
