Project Runway: Season 11; Episode 1 - New York City

This post is our first challenge for Project Runway season 11.
Just to let you know that this challenge is open to everyone !

Season 11, Episode 1: Our first week challenge due Thursday, January 31 (midnight your time):
The designers must create a garment that shows their personalities—built with input from the rest of the designers on their teams—inspired by a view of New York City.

Translation: Design a piece of jewelry inspired by a view of New York City. You can make something that will go with one of the outfits from the show. If you do, post a picture of the outfit also.

“Here is my pendant/brooch for PR 11 #1,
I made a brooch and separately I made a tube with loop to transform the brooch to a pendant.
Sterling silver, sharpie, Renaissance Wax.”


Evelyn Markasky
“I used the NY skyline (Empire State Building) on a cold winter day for inspiration. Pierced copper with torch-fired enamel on a long long skinny chain.”

Season 11, Episode 2: Let's Have a (Ping Pong) Ball!
Our first week challenge due Thursday, February 7 (midnight your time):
The "Project Runway" designers get to spend a few hours working in Susan Sarandon's bar/ping-pong lounge/restaurant (Spin) before they're tasked with their next big challenge. The goal: create cohesive, fashionable, upbeat new uniforms for SPiN's coed serving staff and ball boys.
Translation: Design a piece of jewelry relating to sports, if you like - ping pong- specifically!

**Guidelines for Guest Submissions** 
Please read this every week as there may be small updates and changes. The pieces you submit must be pieces that are made specifically for that week's challenge. Then post a link to your challenge creation in this week's comment area before the deadline. 
*We are only accepting guest submissions from our blog comment area at this time, insert your links there. Then Please cross-post this to your Blog, Flickr, Etsy, etc. and tag them with "EMPR 10.3" We will post your name with a link and a picture of your piece on our blog. The deadline for guest submissions will be Thursday at 12:00 midnight, Pacific Standard Time. The new blog posts and the new challenge will go up the Friday after the new episode airs.
