ETSYMETAL CHARM SWAP REVIVED!
A long time ago in a place far, far away, EtsyMetal members did charm swaps. Participants were tasked with making a set amount of charms over a six month period, photographing and updating the world along the way. Well, life got in the way (as it often does) and the charm swap was swept away to the back burner. Until a pandemic struck. Artists around the world found themselves with WAY TOO MUCH TIME on their creative hands. Not a good place for any artist to find themselves. Some smart EtsyMetal members decided now was the perfect time to reintroduce the EtsyMetal Charm Swap. With a bit different parameters. 6 months? NO, lets do it in 1 month. Yes, O-N-E. Uno, single, un, ein. And as it happens, we are already half way thru that month. SO. Without further ado, here's the first update of, hopefully, many that will happen in the few short weeks leading up to our June 5th due date.
We have 8 participants for the newest EM charm swap AKA EM CS19.
Here they are, in no particular order, except in how they signed up:
1. Laney Clark silentgoddess
2. Elise Worman emwmetalworks
3. Renee Ford rfordmetals
4. Andrea Ring amuckdesign
5. Teresa Matheson teresamatheson
6. Michele Grady michelegradydesigns
7. Jessica Lopour abellablue
8. Nina Gibson ninagibsondesigns
We have two curators that will be managing this swap: Elise Worman and Laney Clark. Elise will be in charge of receiving the charms from participants and swapping them out and shipping them back to everyone. Laney Clark (that's me) will be in charge of keeping participants on track, blogging updates and any other wrangling that needs to be done. We are all making 11 charms: 8 charms to swap with each other, 1 individual charm and 1 charm for the completed charm bracelet that will be available for sale on the EtsyMetal shop on Etsy and 1 charm to offer for sale in each of our individual Etsy shops. Some members are donating the proceeds of their individual charms to charities of their choice. 50% of the proceeds from sales of the bracelets that sell in our team shop are donated to charities selected by the charm swap curators.
That is probably enough info for now. Check back here regularly for updates. I will be posting progress photos our members take as well as any other updates that crop up along the way!
WE ARE BACK, BABY!
