ETSYMETAL Jewelry Challenge: Project Runway Season 13.13 REVEAL "Finale Part 1"
Welcome to the reveal of last weeks' Episode 13
"Finale Part 1"
Project Runway Season 13
Episode 13 ~ Air Date: 10/16/14
Season 13, Episode 13- Tim Gunn and the designers travel to Rome for inspiration and
fabric shopping before heading home to work on their collections for New York
Fashion Week. They were asked to present the judges with 3 looks from their
collections for a pre-fashion week preview show.
EtsyMetal Translation: Our EtsyMetal jewelry challenge
was to create 3 unique charms, these charms should represent you and your
individual style!
Here are my 3 charms for finale part 1!
Sterling Silver
Guest Submission by Leidi Jorge
Episode finale: Tornado Serie.
Copper, thread, seed beads.
"I chose the piece made in episode 5, was one of my favorite pieces of this challenge and used it as inspiration for this finale.
An interesting coincidence is that the original piece was inspired by winning outfit in that episode, a beautiful blue fringed dress designed by Sean Kelly who ended up the winner of this season."
Victoria Takahashi~Experimetal
"I wanted to share that I actually attempted to make 3 charms last week but only made this far!
It is an assemblage of "earth, wind & fire". The antler represents the earth, the abstract copper wing is air and the lava rock underneath I am going to cut a hand faceted cabochon and for all to be worn clustered together. So these will be my next project on my to do list to finish, if you are interested you can see the progress here ;)
I want to especially thank Anna Severina Fell & Leidi Jorge for working so hard and making some truly wonderful and inspiring pieces this season! You to ladies are troopers and thank you for playing, you really made it work!
I will wrap this season up with this being our final PR blog post for this 13th season.
Congratulations to Sean Kelly and runner up Amanda Valentine!
Thank you Project Runway, we love your show!

Etsy Metal 3xR Challenge 2014 Week 39
In this year long marathon of reducing, reusing and recycling many of us may well have 'hit the wall' (myself included) but we WILL keep soldering, shaping and sawing and we WILL finish. No signs of fatigue in Sarah Hood's studio! Please tell us your secret Sarah! In the meantime, the rest of us will be taking on fluids, walking a few miles and then we WILL make a spectacular sprint finish!

Etsy Metal 3xR Challenge week 37
Here in the Etsy Metal Challenge group we have been making all kinds of beads and baubles for intrepid, independently minded women (no mass produced imports in our Etsy shops). This week though, the Men get a bit of a look in as we get busy creating some completely unique cuff links that would give any sharp dressed man an independent edge.

Members' News for the month of October
Fall is here and it's my favorite time of year! Hope all you readers are enjoying these lovely temperatures and great fall days.
Here's what some of our etsy metal team is up to this month.....
One of our new members, Wendy Wetherbee of Pure Dichotomy wanted to make an announcement-
"I am happy to announce that I was accepted into a juried holiday fair that I've been looking forward too. It will be my second year there and its the best show I've done to date. Hoping this year will be just as good. They have a Friday Adult only Shopping evening (this is key and a great idea) and then an all day family oriented holiday festival on Saturday. I set up Friday afternoon and can leave my booth set up for the next morning. The crowd is fantastic and a perfect match for my work. It's a Waldorf School and they are a very earth friendly crowd that appreciates art and handcraft. Pine Hill Waldorf School, Wilton, NH. December Friday December 5 & Saturday December 6."
Please mark this on your calendars if you plan to be in the area.
LjBjewelry will be at By The Bay Art Show in Brewster, Ma. at the Lemon Tree Village on October 4-5 2014. Show times are 10:00-4:00 each day. If you are on Cape Cod come by and say hello!!
